Required Technology Skills     ««

Students will be expected to do some projects using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Additional software will be required for Journalism, including Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Photoshop. And because research is an important part of many assignments, students will also be expected to use search engines (e.g., Google, DuckDuckGo, Lycos, WolframAlpha).

If you do not have the Microsoft Office Suite at home, I encourage you to use Open Office, which is a free office (productivity) suite that is very similar to Microsoft Office 1997-2003. Should you use this software, see me for instructions on how to save your files so they can be opened in either suite.

And remember, as noted in another section of this site, severe penalties will be imposed for using Wikipedia or WikiAnswers as a source of information for ANY school-related assignment or project.
